ELIGIBILITY
Is SISU the right fit?
Each application is reviewed individually. Placement depends on eligibility, current availability, and whether SISU can safely and appropriately meet the applicant’s housing needs.
General Requirements
At least 18 years of age
Committed to maintaining sobriety
Willing to follow house rules and community expectations
Able to live independently without 24-hour medical care
Medically and emotionally stable for shared housing
Government-issued identification or a plan to obtain it
Income, sponsorship, benefits, or another approved payment plan
Willing to participate in recovery-related activities
SISU May Not Be Appropriate For:
Individuals currently using alcohol or illegal drugs
People requiring medical detoxification
Individuals needing inpatient psychiatric treatment
People requiring continuous medical supervision
Applicants unwilling to follow house expectations
Individuals presenting a serious and immediate safety risk
HOUSE EXPECTATIONS
A community built on safety and accountability
SISU’s rules are designed to protect sobriety, dignity, safety, and the well-being of everyone in the home.
Sobriety
No alcohol, illegal drugs, or returning under the influence.
Respect
No threats, violence, harassment, intimidation, or bullying.
Curfew
Residents follow established curfew and obtain approval for exceptions.
Visitors
Visitors must be approved and remain within authorized areas and hours.
Recovery Participation
Residents may be required to attend meetings, treatment, or peer-support activities.
House Meetings
Attendance is expected unless a resident is formally excused.
Chores
Residents keep personal and shared spaces clean and complete assigned duties.
Medication
Prescription medications must be used as directed, secured, and never shared.
Weapons & Illegal Activity
Weapons, theft, assault, drug activity, and other illegal conduct are prohibited.
